Road Trip

Hello explorers!

My fiance, Chris and I have been trying to figure out a trip for ourselves for the past couple weeks. He is busiest with work in the summer and spends a lot of time away from home on the road, so we really try and plan a few outings for ourselves when we can. We have right around a week to have some adult fun and we are taking full advantage of it. Chris gets some seriously amazing ideas flowing, so many that they all sound great and it becomes hard to choose. My concern for him is that I don’t want him to have to do oodles of tiring traveling, he does enough of that for work, but he is selfless in that he will put in the travel time to be able to take me somewhere I have never been. He is really caring in that way. It has been an exhausting back and forth about what plans are the ones for us, but finally we have settled on an idea that suits us perfectly. [Read more...]

A Reason, A Season or a Lifetime

beautiful sunset

Hi all,

I’m up ridiculously early this morning, thanks to my crazy loud neighbor. I’m pretty grouchy about it, but I’m going to try to turn it around…at least now I have a head start on the day and get to drink coffee a whole hour earlier than usual! Yay, me!

I really want to try and get back into the habit of letting things go, not caring so much, and just being relaxed. It seems like for the past few years I haven’t been myself - I have been on this roller coaster of ups and downs of emotions. I have totally forgot who I am. It is kind of a scary and overwhelming place for me - I feel out of control sometimes. I have felt this constant tension in my body, where it feels like every muscle and nerve is pulled as tight as possible. It puts me on edge. I feel like I cannot make a solid decision to save my life and even when I do, I second guess it. I wake up feeling like no one understands me - hell I don’t understand me. I have had overwhelming feelings of loneliness and I think I finally know why, because I don’t recognize myself anymore, I don’t know how to be myself, I don’t know where I fit in or belong. How to make your makeup last longer

Hello beauty babes!

I went out on an impromptu girls day a few weeks back and it was amazing! I got some new M.A.C makeup and have been playing with it ever since. I have been dying to share my latest makeup secret with you, but wanted to make sure it was a good as I thought it was…so I have been wearing it everyday since I bought it. Drum roll please…..

MAC Fix+ Skin Refresher is seriously the answer to my makeup prayers. I had my makeup done by one of the M.A.C girls…which I don’t normally do. I’m pretty particular when it comes to, well, everything - so it’s rare that I let someone else take the reigns. I only had her do my face makeup as my eyes, and eye brows were already done. She totally shocked me and rocked my world. She was literally amazing! My skin looked so flawless, it felt nourished, and it looked natural. I noticed she kept spraying a mist spray on her face and then she did the same to me once she was finished with my makeup. I asked her what it was - and low and behold, it was MAC Fix+ Skin Refresher. She told me that her and the other makeup artists pretty much bathe in it all day and that is why their makeup looks so flawless and stays on so long. [Read more...]

Holy Pores! Skin Care in CA

Hello beauties!

skin care

My skin and I have been at war with each other since I moved to California. It’s pretty much been an on again, off again war. I am that girl that has always had perfect skin, I never washed my face unless I was in the shower, I would sleep in my make-up, the whole nine-yards of lazy skin care. (I know, gag, right?) I hate that old Kaysha, with the perfect skin…then again I really want her back. I have always had dry skin, but not so dry that it was flaky. Now, my skin is a bit more on the greasy side, but not terrible. I do have break-outs much more than I used to and I feel like my pores are the size of Texas. [Read more...]
