Holy Babies! Gift Ideas for new babies.

Hello friends!

I don’t know about you, but I feel like it is the season of babies and I just can’t seem to keep up with all these cutie new mommy’s in my life. I, for one, love giving gifts, I think it is so much fun…but I tend to go overboard. I like giving things that are either unique or useful - or both!

Petal and Twig Felt-Knox

A while back I was looking for a really special gift for some friends of ours…it needed to be one of a kind…so I went on a journey of searching Etsy, it’s totally my go to place when I am in a bind and need to find something that is special. Etsy is so great because a lot of the items can be personalized and they are hand made! I love it so much, it feels so much more genuine to give a gift like that. [Read more...]

Visitors, exploring, and fun in the sun!

Hello doll’s!

I have been so wrapped up with my mind blowing cleanse and the fantastic giveaway that I forgot to tell you all about my dad, his friend, and my friend Kristine coming to visit. I cannot believe I let it get away from me. I have so much to tell you about!

Dad & Friend

Soooo, My dad, his lady friend, and my friend Kristine flew down from Oregon to see me in California. While we were waiting for Caiden to get out of school, we went to Seal Beach and enjoyed all the beach shops. Seal Beach is one of my favorite places, the beach is so clean, the shops are adorable, the food is amazing, and the whole place feels cozy and welcoming. Later, after picking Caiden up we visited The Pike in Long Beach. The Pike is this really great little boardwalk area with restaurants, fun shops, and the harbor with a lighthouse! It’s beautiful and the weather was great! We poked around the shops and found some fun trinkets, went to the candy shop, and sat down for some really fantastic mexican food with a beautiful view of the harbor. It was such a perfect day! My new favorite TV show!

Hi babes!

I’m really picky when it comes to the television I watch. I have a very vivid and wild imagination and it gets me into trouble. I have what I call “fear thoughts” and they get pretty wild and out of control. It gives me anxiety and causes a lot of stress and tension, not to mention it’s totally unhealthy and really hurts me. I choose to try and stay away from television that involves high amounts of catty drama or infidelity - my brain does not do well trying to process any of that garbage and it feeds my own fears from my past, fears that have no business in my current life.

Chris and I don’t have regular cable television, but we do have Apple TV. We have subscriptions to MLB, NHL, Hulu, Netflix, and of course iTunes is available for music, movies, and television. There is a lot of other fun stuff like music video apps and other things included…the point is neither Chris nor I are huge television fanatics and we didn’t want some $200 cable bill for no reason. We do have the highest speed internet that is available, so that is an expense. However, it’s still better than having cable tv for us.

I like to go on Netflix binges, especially when Chris is away for work. I typically just watch old television shows that I used to watch and are no longer on t.v. I recently stumbled upon a show called The Mindy Project on Hulu and I’m totally obsessed. It is such a funny show…I sit on the couch alone and crack up laughing out loud. I’m in love with Mindy from the show! It’s a total chick show and I love all the confidence that Mindy has. She is confident without being cocky and though she does care what other people think, at the same time…she really doesn’t care. She is genuine and giving - someone I would want as a friend. It’s so hard to find quality movies, t.v., or music these days. It seems like everyone is doing the same thing, nothing new and creative is really coming out, and it all seems like they rushed to create a lot of it. When I find something a little more organic and different I totally cling onto it.

The Mindy Project
You should totally check out The Mindy Project and see what you think about it! You can find it on Hulu or on Fox, Tuesdays at 9:30/8:30c. I have been laughing so much and enjoying this show that I wanted to share it with all of you, in case you haven’t already seen it. If you have already watched it…or watch it after reading this post, let me know what you think! I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Enjoy!

It’s the weekend!

Hey y’all! It’s the freakin’ weekend!

Kaysha Comfort legs

We have been having 90 degree days here in SoCal, and it is lovely! I have been laying out for like an hour a day to get a nice glow going on without getting burnt and crunchy, Ewww! The days have been starting off at about 70 degrees…so I can be in shorts at 7am, it’s so strange to me, but so awesome! We have been having some crazy out of control wind in the mornings until around 11am and then it dies off. It’s a scary kind of wind, but for some reason I love the heck out of it!

Health, Happiness, and my crazy antics!

Hello, happy babes!

So I’m dreading the next 21 days…because I’m being put on a…WAIT FOR IT…allergy diet cleanse. Yeah, that was a mouthful. I had a blood panel done, and well…everything came back out of whack - just what I wanted to hear! I’m actually really excited about doing this cleanse though, because if I can get rid of some of the nasty toxins that are guaranteed to be lurking in my body, then I am game. I hardly drink, so that won’t be hard, however, I’m sure since I cannot drink…I will be craving wine all 21 days! haha!

veggie heart

The only thing I can have for 21 days is fruit and vegetables…which really doesn’t sound that hard, but I cannot have any dressings or dipping sauces…NOTHING! No sauteed veggies - only boring steamed ones with nothing to smother them in and make them fatty and delicious! Also, No caffeine…I know, process that one with me for a minute. I might kill someone in the next 21 days and I swear it won’t be my fault. I’m drinking my last cup of coffee as we speak. It’s like death row over here. Death row? haha. Really drama queen? - yep, that just happened. [Read more...]
