My DEEP Thoughts

Hey y’all!

I hope some of you tried out my yummy jambalaya recipe I posted recently. I did! Mmmm, talk about some serious Comfort food (pun intended, haha). So, to all you mama’s out there…schools out! How do you feel about that? I’m ready for school to start again. It’s only been a week and so far I’ve been told “No” 357 times, I’ve been asked 4,000 questions, I’ve gone to the pool, the park, and everywhere in between. I forgot how much my time alone during school means to me.

I’ve been taking college classes online and I use the quiet time to get my work done…and usually do blog stuff, but I’m in full on lazy girl mode. I don’t know what my issue is…I’m just a big pile of mopey, lazy, Netflix watching bones. However, I’m about to be childless for a couple weeks and though I’m looking forward to it…it terrifies me at the same time. I’ve got anxiety, irrational thoughts, and concerns that are totally ridiculous; I know I’m going to miss that little monster terribly. When Hot Sauce goes out of town, Chris and I mope past his room…as if somehow he may magically appear. It’s pretty pathetic and super cute at the same time. I’m thankful for our kiddos and the time we get to spend with them. I’m also thankful for our alone time…I think we find a decent balance, and that is extremely important in a healthy relationship. I Love You This Much

I Love You This Much

I love you enough to fight for you, compromise for you, and sacrifice myself for you if need be.

Enough to miss you incredibly when we’re apart, no matter what length of time it’s for and regardless of the distance.

Enough to believe in our relationship, to stand by it through the worst of times, to have faith in our strength as a couple, and to never give up on us.

Enough to spend the rest of my life with you, be there for you when you need or want me, and never, ever want to leave you or live without you.

I love you this much.

52 Reasons I Love You

Hello loves!

In honor of Valentine’s Day I’m going to show you a great gift idea. It’s homemade, which I think are the best kind of gifts to give. There is something so special about putting your time, love, and creative energy into something you’re going to give to someone.

This craft is very near and dear to my heart. I made it for my fiance. He travels a lot for work and it’s very important to me that he knows how much I love him, whether he is near or far. He works so hard and deserves to know that he is thought about and loved at all times. It’s a way for a little piece of me to be with him when he is away traveling for work. He made this craft even more special by incorporating it into his marriage proposal to me. He is a true blessing that I adore through good and bad. I hope that this craft can bring you some special memories of your own! [Read more...]

The Four Agreements & The Mastery Of Love

Two of my all time favorite self-help type books are “The Four Agreements” and “The Mastery of Love”, written by Don Miguel Ruiz. These books aren’t your corny, far out type self help books. They are cozy and feel good, with a heaping side of personal growth. [Read more...]

Fighting Your Demons

Many of us struggle with addictions, diseases, bad habits - whatever it is and however you want to label it, we all have our own vices and demons. I myself struggle with eating disorders, severe body dysmorphia, and low self esteem. I have other struggles such as anxiety, panic, and depression and though there are things we choose to do that can elevate or trigger our anxiety, depression, panic, etc. this is not what I’m currently referring to. What I am talking about is the things we do to ourselves, the things we actively participate and commit to, in order to further hurt and punish ourselves. It is a way to recreate the abuse we may have experienced in the past. We find comfort in the pain, it is what we know, what we are familiar with, and somehow feels safe. [Read more...]
