I have always had a love for shoes, ever since I can remember…especially high heels! I have really small feet with a high arch, so typically when I am trying on high heels, the sales associate comments on how my feet were “made to wear high heels”. See, I have to have heels, lots and lots of heels. I was just born this way! (wink, wink)
I seem to have an eye for expensive things, I swear you could put two identical products next to one another, and somehow I will pick the more expensive of the two. I’m a terrible bargain shopper, but I can’t beat the excitement I get when I find something on sale. I’m also not so good with discount stores, I’m a neat freak to the core and many of those places are just too cluttered and unorganized. I kid you not, I get anxiety about it.
Nordstrom Rack is a great place to find high end shoes at a decent price. The store is organized and things are easy to find for the most part. I hate paying retail: hate, hate, hate it. Especially because I know how much they mark their merchandise up. Don’t be afraid to buy shoes when they’re out of season and save them for when they are back in season. Retail is always a season ahead so they’re is constant change. You can check with your local Nordstom Rack to see when they get new shipments, that way you can have first dibs on the new goods!
I found these smokin’ hot Cole Haan red patent leather pumps at Nordstrom Rack. They were originally $298.00 (I would never pay that much) I got them at Nordstrom Rack for $60.00 They are the most comfortable pair of high heels I have. Nike owns Cole Haan, so they put the cozy Nike technology into the Cole Haan shoes. It’s pretty funny, because on the bottom of my heels there is a gold plate that says, “Nike Air” - too cute!

Sometimes you just have to be patient when looking for a great pair of shoes. When I’m patient it seems like that is when I find the perfect pair. (I’m not a patient person, not even a little bit.) Another great place you can check out is Haute Look, it is also a Nordstrom company, but it’s all online. The great thing that Haute Look just did, is they made it so you can return stuff you bought from Haute Look online, in Nordstrom Rack stores. It’s so easy and convenient. I think Nordstrom is a really great quality company that stands behind their product, pretty much anything with their name on it, I’m willing to check out.

I love the way I feel when I wear high heels. My posture is better, I feel more confident, and for some reason I feel powerful. I will dress jeans and a white t-shirt up with a pair of high heels, if I feel like it. Don’t be afraid to do the same! It’s fun to add a pop of color to your outfit with a pair of heels. If you don’t feel comfortable wearing heels, but want to try something similar, start with a nice wedge. A wedge is still a great way to get that heel feel and look, but with a little extra support. If you want to wear high heels, but no one else is…just do it. Do what makes you feel best!

Lissa! They are so AMAZING! It’s seriously like walking on clouds. They are without a doubt the most comfortable heels that I own. I think it is so funny that my fancy red heels say, “NIKE AIR” on the bottom. I feel so sporty and sassy all at the same time. Yes, Nike owns Cole Haan, UMBRO, Hurley, and I think there might be more, but that’s all I can think of right now. My favorite Nordstrom Rack in Oregon is the one off of 185th. They get shipments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, if my memory serves me right. Prime shopping time is the day of their shipments, before everyone gets off work. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t find what you want right away, it can be very hit and miss. When the right ones are out there in the universe for you, they will show up. Also, if you can get your hands on a Nike employee pass - the Nike employee store sells Cole Haan, but you’re going to get a better price at Nordstrom Rack. I’m so happy that you’re enjoying my blog.
