Weight Loss, scams and what I use to lose weight

Hello there!

I’m sure that many of you have heard of the latest weight loss trend to hit the internet. If you haven’t, or are still curious what it’s all about, let me be the one to tell you. I’m talking about the Garcinia Cambogia pills, and natural cleanse. I researched all over the internet and found an article that seemed to be trustworthy. I of course was still skeptical, but I thought, “Hey for $5.00 a bottle for your first bottle of the Slendera Garcinia Cambogia and natural cleanse, I’ll give it a try.” I am one of those people that has to watch what I eat, and exercise regularly. I always have and always will be that way, and I’m sure as I get older the challenge will only get harder. I just like most people would love to take some miracle pill to shed away the pounds, but the truth is there isn’t a miracle pill. Why does food have to be so good? I’m really getting sick and tired of everything delicious having calories in it. I mean, come on! Also, isn’t it funny how losing weight is a hard and lengthy process, but gaining it is a breeze? Grrr!! Don’t get me wrong I think having shape to your body is a great thing, it’s more feminine, and sexy! I think if you’re healthy, you feel good, and you like the way you look then that’s all that should matter.

I digress…

Getting back on topic, These Slendera Garcinia Cambogia and cleanse pills are just the latest scam in the weight loss industry. I have found several articles all written exactly the same, the only difference is that the brand of the pills change. The internet has made it even easier to scam people, by promoting their product with fabricated endorsements from Oprah, Dr. Oz, and other celebrities. I decided to do the investigating myself, so like I said, I ordered the pills. I began taking them as directed for almost a month, they did nothing for me, except maybe give me an upset tummy.

I hate to break it to you, and well, to be honest I hate to break it to myself - there is still no miracle weight loss pill. The one guaranteed method to losing weight is, yep, you guessed it, good ol’ fashioned diet and exercise. I know, boring…. The good news is this, you’re going to be so darn proud of yourself every time you reach a goal you have set. Try and set small goals, if you want to lose 20 pounds think about it in 5 pound increments. Another great idea is to get a pal to do it with you, that way you both have someone to motivate you and you can hold each other accountable. Remember, eating crappy one day isn’t going to make you overweight and out of shape, just as eating healthy one day isn’t going to make you healthy and in shape. It is all about moderation y’all, and don’t forget to reward yourself every now and then!

A few of my weight loss methods are keeping a food journal. I use the App My Fitness Pal. It is a great app that you can track your daily food and calorie intake, as well as your weight and exercise. Every day when you complete your food journal it will give you an estimate of your weight after 4 weeks. The App also makes sure you’re eating a healthy amount of calories, if you’re eating too few calories it will alert you. You never want to starve yourself, it will only cause your metabolism to get even more out of whack. I am also a huge fan of Weight Watchers, it’s how I lost my “baby” weight. I am not the type of person that was interested in meetings, so I would just go and weigh in and then leave. Once you get the hang of how it works and get all the tools you need, you don’t ever have to go to a meeting again if you don’t want to. I have to be honest I looked forward to weighing in every week. It was exciting and held me accountable. I lost 70 pounds on Weight Watchers! I know I am not a very good pregnant woman…I gained weight from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet! Yikes!!

I’ll be adding more tips on diet and exercise, as well as exercise routines and challenges. I will test things out and let y’all know how they work. Just think of me as your very own personal guinea pig! Together we can get fit and be healthy!

Be Well!
